This research project we have set up recently concentrates on the transnational dimension of administrative law: what can probably be labeled “transnational administrative law”.

The purpose is to determine what theoretical and practical keys can be used in order to analyze the legal issues raised by the development, in Europe and outside, of situations, arrangements, mechanisms, belonging to the administrative law realm, but immersed in two or several legal systems: cross-border cooperation schemes, transnational administrative procedures (ad ex. Schengen), effects of the directive on services, possible impact of transatlantic treaties, and so on.

A group of colleagues interested in this problematic has already held exploratory meetings on Bordeaux (8 July 2016), Spetses (10 September 2016), Rome (12 May 2017), Sounion (8 September 2017), Barcelona (20-21 April, 2018) and Brussels (7-8 December, 2018).

During our meeting held on April 20 and 21 (morning) in Barcelona at Pompeu Fabra University, our foundational chart was presented.

Please note that, even if our website is only published in English, we are a bilingual research group. Our working languages are French and English.
