Juan Camilo Mansilla, PhD in Information and Communication Sciences from the Sorbonne Paris Cité University. Member of JOVIS.com, research group on youth, society, and communication (Spain). Member of the research laboratory Cultural Industries and Artistic Creation–Labex ICCA (France). Since 2017, he has been a research associate at House of Social Sciences–Paris Nord, leading international cooperation on the issues of intergenerational cities, technology, and social inclusion in the digital age. He was the Principal Investigator of COMMIC project (www.projectcommic.com) (2015-2018) funded by Labex ICCA, exploring the social impact of intergenerational video game design experiences in retirement homes. In 2016, he was awarded a Professorship at the School of Communication at the University of São Paulo (USP) in “Media for social change: young people in marginalized areas of SP”. He has been a visiting scholar in Berkeley, Vancouver, Toronto, Montreal, and Seoul. His research interests include emergent urban cultures, new media ecologies, and experimental approaches to intergenerational learning. He is cofounder of Human Mount Experiences & Society Research Institute in 2016 (www.humanmount.com), an international network addressing issues of action research in local communities.
