José Sánchez García, researcher of the TRANSGANG project, participates in the Tranfonterer Seminar on Intervention with Youth in Immigration contexts. The seminar has been organized by the Institute of Educational Research of the Universitat de Girona.

Last Monday, July 2, the researcher of the TRANSGANG project José Sánchez García participated in the seminar on 'intervention with young people in immigration contexts', within the framework of the PROSPECTSASO project (https://www.prospectsaso.com/es/).

José Sánchez presented the conference "From 'harga' in Catalonia: motivations to migrate and intervention factors of the young Muslims". In the conference José Sánchez reflected on the different motivations of the young people of Morocco to migrate and their repercussions in the world of social intervention.

The Seminar, organized by the anthropologist Carles Serra, from the Universitat de Girona, also included the participation of Jérôme Ferret (sociologist of the Université de Toulouse 1), Jordi Pàmies (anthropologist of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona) and François Sicot (sociologist of the Université du Mirail Toulouse). During the day, different aspects of the phenomenon of radicalization and violence among young Muslims in France and Catalonia were discussed.
