"La mara anda suelta"

Agnès Marquès has travelled to El Salvador, one of the most violent countries in the world, to analise the situation of youth gangs in Latin America. 

The report, broadcasted on Tuesday 22nd January, 2019 on RAC1, offers first-hand, anonimous testimonies accounting for the difficult situation the country is going through, which translate in increasing migration and applications for asylum. Although some groups have been found in Spain with the same names, UPF social anthropology professor Carles Feixa states that it is not possible for them to reproduce the same level of delinquency of their original country.
