Valguima Odakura is an associate professor at Universidade Federal da Grande Dourados (UFGD) in Brazil. She received her bachelor degree in Computer Science from Universidade Federal do Mato Grosso do Sul (UFMS) and she has a master's and doctorate degree at the Computer Engineering Department from the Universidade de São Paulo (USP), all in Brazil.  Currently she is a postdoctoral researcher in the Interactive and Distributed Technologies for Education (TIDE) Group at the Information and Communication Technologies Department of Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF), in Barcelona. Her research interests are focused on Technology-Enhanced Learning and Social Media Literacy Skills for Adolescents.
