Shatha N. Alkhasawneh is a Ph.D student in the Interactive and Distributed Technologies for Education (TIDE) at the Information and Communication Technologies Department at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF) in Barcelona, Spain. She obtained her BSc in Computer Engineering, followed by a master's degree in Computer Sciences from Amman Arab University, Jordan, graduating with distinction, and an MBA from Anglia Ruskin University, London. 

With over a decade of experience in technical and vocational education in  Jordan, Shatha has been pivotal in leading unconventional learning initiatives, particularly at Luminus Technical University College (LTUC). Her efforts have significantly advanced blended and online education, introducing innovative teaching methodologies and robust quality assurance practices. In her roles, she was instrumental in instructional design and led significant projects that furthered the scope of educational technology. Her research now delves into hybrid learning environments, human-centered educational technology, and the field of generative AI in education.
