The Hackathon was held during the event "4 years from now" at the Mobile World Congress.

TextDigester is an application that can analyze texts from different sources and languages. It is able to deal with different formats from HTML to RSS feeds in XML to JSON (like twitter posts). The application detects the language of the text and then processes it accordingly.  The final step is the generation of a summary wich can be multi or single document.

TextDiggester is based on SUMMA, a tool developed by Horacio Saggion, combined with other resources and tools.

The team composed by Horacio Saggion, the head of the "Large Scale Text Unsderstanding Systems Lab", and Francesco Ronzano, a postdoc researcher, was the winner over the eight teams who reached the final.
