The First Current Trends in Text Simplification workshop is taking place here at TALN 21st September 2021, during SEPLN2021. Submissions are open until 15th June for long or short-form papers and demos in a wide range of current text simplification topics. These include, and are not limited to:

• Lexical, syntactic, and hybrid simplification
• Sequence-to-sequence models
• Resources for text simplification
• Assistive technologies leveraging text simplification techniques
