Sorato, Danielly


Danielly Sorato is a computer scientist interested in Computational Social Science and ethics in Natural Language Processing.  

She is the lead developer in the myESS software project, a collaborative environment to document data collection lifecycles and data comparability in the European Social Survey at the Research and Expertise Centre for Survey Methodology (RECSM) of Universitat Pompeu Fabra (Barcelona, Spain). 

Until 2022, she worked in the Social Sciences and Humanities Open Cloud (SSHOC) project, where she developed a corpus of survey questionnaires in nine languages and a specialized search interface to interact with it.

Currently, Danielly is a PhD candidate in the Traducció i Ciències del Llenguatge doctoral program at Universitat Pompeu Fabra. She holds a BSc (2017) and an MSc (2019) in Computer Science from Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (Florianópolis, Brazil). In her research, Danielly uses quantitative computational methods to understand how social biases are learned and reflected in neural network-based language models.
