RECSM researcher Danilo Serani has published a new article in European Politics and Society Journal, which explores the impact of the Great Recession on the success of challenger parties. Concretely, the study finds that political distrust and the economy have had an impact on the voting for challenger parties, and that the interaction between the two dimensions explains the further increase in their electoral success.
