We invite applications for an internship position to work on text data (text corpus). Creating text corpus is the basis for applications in Natural Language Processing, such as text mining, sentiment analysis and machine translation.

The successful candidate will learn how to create and manage text databases using the benchmark software SketchEngine. This program facilitates quantitative linguistic analysis enabling researchers studying language behaviour in large text databases according to complex linguistic queries.

The successful candidate will process survey data texts using SketchEngine.

Candidates should have an interest in quantitative analysis and statistics, and preferably a basic knowledge of a statistical software such as STATA or R.

Duration: This is a two-month part-time internship.

Ideal start date is mid-April 2019.
