Job Offer at RECSM: German Language Expert
We are currently inviting applications for one part-time, one-month job position for a German language expert (proficiency in spoken and written German). The focus is translation research at the Research and Expertise Centre for Survey Methodology (RECSM) at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF), Barcelona, Spain.
ADVANCED SURVEY QUALITY METHODS (ASQME)
The candidates will join the Advanced Survey Quality Methods (ASQME) team of RECSM and are expected to contribute to the research activity of the team linked to the projects: Social Sciences and Humanities Open Cloud (SSHOC).
CANDIDATES PROFILE
The successful candidate is expected to show a general interest in translation technologies (corpus creation and analysis tools, CAT tools), survey research and an excellent level in spoken and written German.
Candidates may be undergraduates/ recent graduates of linguistics, translation or similar areas. German language teachers are also welcome to apply.
The position is one (maximum two) month, part-time.

- You will transcribe oral meetings in German Language to text.
What do I need to bring with me?
- Excellent written, oral and electronic communication skills in German. Speaking English is a plus.
- Ability to work with limited supervision and work rigorously.
- Ability to deliver results, meet deadlines and manage time effectively.

CONDITIONS
The position has no citizenship requirement. Contract type and salary depend on the degree and experience of the successful candidate. The position is based in Barcelona, during the Covid-19 pandemic the candidate will be given the option of working remotely
