Biography

Josep Maria is a post-doctoral researcher at the Institute of Government and Public Policies (Autonomous University of Barcelona, UAB) and a researcher at the Research and Expertise Centre for Survey Methodology (Universitat Pompeu Fabra, UPF).

He has a PhD in Political and Social Sciences from the UPF. His PhD Thesis focuses on affective polarisation in comparative perspective. He was granted a FPU scholarship from the Spanish government and conducted a research stay at the University of Amsterdam from 01/04/2019 to 30/06/2019.

He holds a Master of Arts in Public Administration from the University of Konstanz (2015-2016) and a Master of Research in Political Science from the UPF (2014-2015). He received his B.A. in Political Science at the UAB (2012).        

The research interests of Josep Maria are: political behaviour, public opinion, comparative politics, political polarisation, populist radical right and quantitative methods.
