Speech Acquisition and Perception
I’m interested in understanding how the information in the human brain is processed and integrated to conform our particular experience of the world, and how this conditions our perception and behavior. I studied Computer Science at Universitetet i Oslo, Norway, where I obtained my MSc. degree in mathematical modeling and in 2012 I obtained the PhD degree in signal processing from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya. I 2015 I joined the Computational Neuroscience Group (CNS) of the Universitat Pompeu Fabra, lead by Prof. Gustavo Deco, to collaborate with the development of mathematical neuro-dynamic models for the human brain. I also worked as a professor for undergraduate courses in engineering at the Department of Information and Communication Technologies (DTIC) of the UPF from 2015 to 2018In June 2018 I joined the Speech Acquisition and Perception Group, lead by Prof. Nuria Sebastian-Galles, to collaborate with the ERC funded project Under Control. My working areas include the analysis of EEG, MEG and fMRI brain images and the study of new whole-brain dynamical models.
