The start of RemixED – a European project to develop team-based learning design

03.04.2022

The 30-month RemixED project held its kickoff meeting at the 10.klasseskolen school in Hillerød, Denmark this past March. The project, funded by the European 2021 Erasmus+ call for the promotion of projects concerning education, training, youth and sport, is being coordinated by TIDE. RemixED aims to develop a team-based learning design approach to teacher professional development.

Partners in the project include higher education partners: Universidad de Vigo and European University of Cyprus; school partners: Centro de Estudios Dolmen S.L., SEK-Atlántico S.L., Lykeio Archangelou Apostolos Markos, and 10.klasseskolen; and a social enterprise: MLCommunicate

Additional aims of the project are to contribute toward mental health literacy in school education and support teachers in designing more inclusive learning experiences for their students. The former will be achieved through having teachers become familiar with and adapt open educational resources related to teaching students about stress and stress management techniques (Spotlighters) - and, ultimately, use the materials with their students. The latter will be achieved through having teachers apply Universal Design for Learning guidelines to the redesigns they create.

Further information on RemixED and its progress will be available on the RemixED project website and TIDE group website. For researchers, educators and educational institutes interested in knowing more about the project, please contact [email protected].
