Xartec Salut has shared the results of the 2022 Venture Builder Program in order to support and accelerate the technology transfer of health technologies through Spin-offs born within the network. A catalyst to boost the creation of new companies in the HealhtTech ecosystem, enhacing their long-term survival and maximizing their impact in the market while providing specific resources and support.

The beneficiaries of this cut-off have been VIRTEST, a pre-procedural planning for Left Atrial Appendage Occlusion (LAAO) by PhySense-UPF; MIL@b, implementing an e-infrastructure based on Cloud and Edge Computing for data analysis in metabolomics, by Universitat Rovira i Virgili (URV); Ephion Health, the platform to develop and deploy clinical measures for patient mobility by Eurecat; Share4Rare, a collective online platform with the ambition to make a difference for rare disease patients and their families by Institut de Recerca Sant Joan de Déu (IRSJD) and Centre de Recerca en Enginyeria Biomèdica (CREB) and ICOnnecta’t with a digital health system aiming to reduce the impact of cancer, increase well-being and quality of life during follow-up and continued patient care, by Institut Català d’Oncologia (ICO) – Institut d’Investigació Biomèdica de Bellvitge (IDIBELL). 

The call is launched by Xartec Salut annually to select the most promising HealthTech projects to be accompanied in their way to becoming Spin-offs with a budget for this edition of 130.000€. The program will cover some key factors of new venture success, such as: legal support, mentoring, business model definition, training, coaching and capacity building for the leader, investment and so on.
