Biography

Çağlar Açıkıldız holds a BA in International Relations from Atılım University (Turkey) and a MA in International Relations from Hacettepe University (Turkey). Professionally, he worked as a Research/Teaching Assistant at Kultur University (Turkey) for three years. Currently, Çağlar is a PhD candidate in the Department of Political and Social Science at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra (Spain) under the supervision of Miriam Bradley, and his thesis focuses on the use of biometric technology in humanitarian refugee response. Generally, his academic interests cover international security, human rights, humanitarian intervention, responsibility to protect, and cybersecurity.
