Biography

Andreu Paneque Martin was born in Vulpellac (Forallac), Girona.  He has a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Public Administration from Pompeu Fabra University and a Master’s in Current Democracies: Nationalism, Federalism in Pompeu Fabra University too. Currently, is enrolled in the PhD Programme in Political and Social Sciences under the supervision of Prof. Javier Astudillo Ruiz. He gains the first Andorran scholarship called Consell de la Terra for his scholarship.

His research interests cover political parties, political elites, political theory and a special interest in the Micro-States and its particularities.

Professionally, he spent several years in different social associations working for youngster in social risk.  First of all, working in Tot Raval defending the labour rights for immigrants, and then, working in Punt de Referència, precisely in the management department searching for private and public founding. A part of that, and due to his love for education, he created, for years ago, an educational platform called Polititza’t. Polititza’t is based on the idea of helping the youngsters to understand and take part of politics.

He is part of the OPCAT (Observatori dels Partits Politics Catalans). Finally, he is a professor of Oratory, he is taking a course in the International University of Catalonia, and different courses for political parties.

The process of political elite professionalization in small scale democracies: Andorra in a comparative perspective.
