We invite you to the first edition of the "QUAES-UPF Scientific Dialogues" organized by the Department of Experimental and Health Sciences of Pompeu Fabra University and the QUAES-UPF Chair in Biomedicine and Biomedical Engineering. 

We will be talking to two internationally renowned scientists dedicated to using mathematics to describe living things. Gemma Huguet, Ramón y Cajal researcher at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, expert in the use of mathematics to understand the human brain, and Tomás Alarcón, ICREA research professor at the Center for Mathematical Research, an expert in the mathematical modeling of cancer .

Both scientists will share their experiences with us and help us understand how we can use math to better understand ourselves and living organisms, which is beginning to help us fight disease and improve our quality. of life.

The session will be moderated by Jordi Garcia Ojalvo, Professor of the Department of Experimental and Health Sciences at Pompeu Fabra University, and member of the QUAES-UPF Chair team.

The activity is open to the general public and free, but it is necessary to register on the website of the event. Entrants will receive a link to connect the day before the event.
