This proposal aims at the use of new , molecular hybrid (inorganic/organic) nanomaterials to support the development of molecular medicine. New ways of treatment and diagnose of especific diseases such as cancer or inherited diseases based on the use of these nanomaterials will be presented. The research lines will specifically focus on nanoliposomes synthesized by DELOS-susp with outstanding physicochemical properties for drug delivery and on plasmonic nanoparticles for sensing of biological markers. In this way two medical goals are approached i.e. treatment and diagnosis.
