Juanjo Villanueva is a Primary Education Teacher, a Physicist and a Doctor in Computer Science. In 1984 he created the Computer Vision Research Group at the UAB, one of the most important groups in Europe. He has been the leader of more than 50 national and international R+D projects and author of more than 150 scientific articles. He has been a member of the Board of Directors of ACCIÓ. Nowadays, he is currently Professor Emeritus of Computer Science at the UAB and a patron of the FCRI, involved also in multiple activities of promotion and training in entrepreneurship, as its website, www.emprender.io or his book ‘Introduction to entrepreneurship’,  he has been co-founder of serveral startups and currently is CEO at Ekiter

Juanjo will delight us with an interesting presentation about "How create your own company?". In this presentation we will see a synthesis of the creative process, from the business idea and the role of the entrepreneur, where topics as the formation of a team of co-founders and how to do it or the desingning of a bussines model and how get your first resources will be discussed; to the validation of the business model. Finally, he will point out the next steps to constitute the company once the Business Model has been validated. For the last 20 years Jordi has created a number of biotech companies, among them Anaxomics and more recently of AELIX Therapeutics, which main aimed was to develop immunotherapies to cure HIV infection globally.
