The MTG is looking to hire a junior full stack developer to start as soon as possible.

This position will involve working at MTG-UPF in Barcelona as part of the TROMPA project (https://trompamusic.eu/) to develop web-based tools as part of our research into improving the accessibility of classical music.

We are looking for someone with experience in front-end development, but full-stack experience will be welcomed. Our current technology stack includes Node.js, Neo4j, and React, however we welcome candidates with experience in related technologies and a willingness to learn.

Required skills/qualifications:

Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent,  with 2+ years of practical experience

Proficiency in software development using Python or Javascript

Experience with ES6 and modern Javascript frameworks (React or vue)

Experience with Linux

Ability to work and deliver autonomously while being a part of a team

Preferred skills/experience:

Master degree in Sound and Music Computing, Music Technology or related field

Experience in design and development of music audio signal analysis, processing, and classification algorithms

Experience with Python web back-end frameworks such as Django

Experience with Docker

Being passionate about writing clean code
