Release of new MOOC course: Cante Flamenco Tech

The MTG launches a new MOOC course, online and free, starting on October 23, 2018

Cante Flamenco Tech is a course aimed to teachcante flamenco ntegrating current sound analysis and music technologies to explain some of the most characteristic aspects of cante flamenco. This course is only in Spanish (English subtitles in the video lectures are available).

 

Academic team

Alba Guerrero Manzano:  She has a bachelor's degree in Cante Flamenco (ESMUC), a Master in Research and Flamenco and she is a Specialized Technician in Programming. She has been teaching for more than fifteen years at the School of Music Studies-Workshop of Musicians (ESMUC) and she is currently a professor specialized in cante flamenco at the Superior Conservatory of Music "Rafael Orozco" in Córdoba.  

Emilia Gómez: She is a Telecommunications Engineer and Doctor in Computer Science. She is an Associate Professor (Serra-Húnter and ICREA Academia) from the Department of Information Technology and Communications (DTIC) of  Pompeu Fabra University (UPF). She leads the MIR (Music Information Research) lab of the Music Technology Group (MTG).
