Phonos seeks an artistic director who will be responsible for:

• Curate artistic proposals around music and technology

• Promote collaboration with other entities and professionals in the sector

• Coordinate the production and dissemination of music activities

• Preserve and disseminate the sound archive of Phonos

• Search of funding for the sustainability of the artistic activities
 

 

The candidate must provide:

• Previous experience in curating music

• Experience in budget management and coordination of musical projects

• Knowledge of technical production

• Good communication and organization skills

• Fluent in Spanish / Catalan and English
 

 

This is a part-time position.

The Phonos Foundation is a pioneering institution in Spain in the field of electroacoustic music. It was created in 1974 by J.M. Mestres Quadreny, Andrés Lewin-Richter and Lluís Callejo. And many of the electroacoustic musicians in Spain attended the courses of the composer Gabriel Brncic at Phonos. Since 1994, the Phonos Foundation is linked to Pompeu Fabra University and collaborates very closely with the Music Technology Group to promote cultural activities related to research in music technology, contributing to its impact on the cultural and artistic world, and fostering innovation. http://phonos.upf.edu/
