A public conversation between Xavier Serra and Elio Quinton on AI and Music
This is part of Music Talks, a new gathering space for the music sector aimed at providing new perspectives on key issues in the sector for the coming years, organized by the Catalan Institute for Cultural Industries
Xavier Serra, director of the MTG, and Elio Quinton, VP of Artificial Intelligence at Universal Music Group, will participate in the first session of Music Talks, a series of talks to discuss innovation and music. They will debate AI's current impact and future possibilities in the music industry. Through an informal conversation, they will analyze the current situation of the use of AI both in the industrial and research fields, exploring the trends and future opportunities that recent advances can present to the entire music sector.
Music Talks is a space for dialogue and networking, favoring the processes of reflection and innovation, improving the training of the music sector, and a better knowledge of technology (AI - artificial intelligence, NFT, Blockchain, Immersive technologies,... ). It is an initiative of the Catalan Institute for Cultural Industries (Catalonia Government) in collaboration with the Associació de Productors i Editors Fonogràfics i Videogràfics Catalans (APECAT) and the Fundació Barcelona Music Lab (BMLab).
The session will take place on February 21, 2024 in Barcelona (C/ Mallorca 275).
