The MTG at UPF's Open Access Week 2024
Pedro Ramoneda awarded at UPF doctoral students open research data prize, and Xavier Serra gives a talk on open data in the context of open science
Open Access Week is an annual event promoting open access and open science. University libraries worldwide participate in it to disseminate scientific literature online and promote the idea that research financed with public funding is in the public domain. As part of the OA Week, the UPF Library/CRAI organizes different activities, including prizes for open research data for UPF doctoral students, to promote open science among young researchers and stimulate the use of infrastructures and services supporting open science.
Pedro Ramoneda, predoctoral researcher at the MTG, will receive a prize for his thesis "Can I play it? Understanding piano performance difficulty through explainable and multimodal deep learning." The award ceremony will take place during Open Access Week on October 23, 2024 at 10 a.m., in the Albert Calsamiglia room of the UPF Ciutadella Campus.
The program of the event also includes the talk by Xavier Serra: "Open data in the context of open science: experiences in the field of music technology"
