Title: AI in the music industry
Elio Quinton, VP of Artificial Intelligence at Universal Music Group
Abstract: Like many technologies before AI has tremendous potential as a tool for artists and the music industry. But its responsible development and use is essential to preserve a thriving ecosystem. In this talk I will go through an overview of Ai in the music industry, and specifically at UMG. We will review Responsible AI principles to be followed for a safe, respectful and fruitful use of AI. We will then demonstrate on some examples how AI and MIR (Music Information Retrieval) may be used at UMG. Last but not least, we will discuss how a sustainable future for AI may be built and what steps UMG is taking in this direction.
