For the past two weeks, students on the MPD MA have engaged in an intercultural exchange with participants in the Casa Asia programme.

Casa Asia was created in 2001 as a consortium to strengthen the knowledge and dialogue about Asia in Spain, and among its activities, organizes language teaching and exchange at a number of schools in the Barcelona area for migrants of Asian descent.

Last week, MPD MA students hosted a number of Casa Asia programme participants - administrators, volunteers, high school students, mothers and young children - at UPF's Poblenou campus where they gave a tour of the university and received a presentation from Casa Asia organizers on the consortium's mission and services. This week, master's students visited schools in Trinitat Vella and Besós to experience the programme in situ and continue the dialogue.
