Exploring Beyond the Classroom
During the first term of the year 2024-2025, the students of our programme have enjoyed three different outdoor visits organised by the Centre de Cultura Contemporània de Barcelona (CCCB):
On October 23, 2024, the students of The Ethics of Mediation course, accompanied by their instructor Núria Almiron, visited the exhibition Agnès Varda. Photographing, Filming, Recycling. They enjoyed a private guided tour led by an expert on Varda’s work.
On November 6, 2024, the students of the Environmental Justice and Communication course, accompanied by their instructor Ian Paul, attended a seminar led by journalist and writer Eliane Brum and journalist Jon Watts of The Guardian, both founders of the independent communication platform Sumaúma.
On November 21, 2024, the students of the Global Justice, War, and Poverty in the Media course, accompanied by their instructor Christopher Tulloch, visited the World Press Photo exhibition, held annually in Barcelona around this time.
