Join DTIC in the context of ”la Caixa” - INPhINIT fellowships for doctoral studies at Spanish Research Centres of Excellence

INPhINIT recruits per call 57 Early-Stage Researchers of any nationality, who enjoy a 3-year employment contract at the Research Centre of their choice among those selected and awarded by the Spanish Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness ("Severo Ochoa" centres of excellence and "Maria de Maeztu" units of excellence) and the Spanish Ministry of Health ("Carlos III centres of excellence")

INPhINIT is a new doctoral fellowship programme devoted to attracting international Early-Stage Researchers to the top Spanish research centres in the areas of Bio and Health Sciences, Physics, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. INPhINIT is promoted by the "la Caixa" Foundation with the aim of supporting the best scientific talent and fostering innovative and high-quality research in Spain by recruiting outstanding international students and offering them an attractive and competitive environment for conducting research of excellence.

“La Caixa” Foundation collaborates with the top 30 Spanish research centres recognised as excellent in Bio and Health Sciences, Technology, Physics, Engineering and Mathematics. They may act as host organisations within the INPhINIT programme by offering prestigious PhD open positions in which INPhINIT researchers may develop their doctoral research project.

The Spanish Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness awards "Severo Ochoa" and "María de Maeztu" certificates to research centres and units of excellence respectively, in any field of science. They are the highest distinction at national level for entities that promote excellence in research. Similarly, the Ministry of Health awards "Carlos III" certificates to excellent research health institutes, both public and private. These certificates of excellence are granted by means of an annual competition to a small number of entities for a limited number of years, after which the entities must once again undergo a competitive selection process to renew them.
