As part of the Gender & ICT program promoted within the Maria de Maeztu Strategic Research Program on data-driven knowledge extraction of the Department of Information and Communication Technologies at UPF, we are proud to support the Ada Lovelace Day (ALD) with several activities: Wisibilizalas, MENTOS and ViquidonesUPF
Ada Lovelace Day (ALD) is an international celebration day of the achievements of women in science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM). It aims to increase the profile of women in STEM and, in doing so, create new role models who will encourage more girls into STEM careers and support women already working in STEM.
As part of the Gender & ICT program promoted within the Maria de Maeztu Strategic Research Program on data-driven knowledge extraction of the Department of Information and Communication Technologies at UPF, we are proud to support the celebration with the launch of several activities:
- Wisibilizalas: Contest for high schools in Spain to work on profiles of women contributing nowadays to information and communication technologies in Spain, with the support of institutions such as the UPF Council, Google and Eurecat. @wisibilizalas
- MENTOS: Mentoring Program for female engineering Students at UPF. If you would like to take part as a mentor and support the next generation of female engineers, register here
- Viquidones UPF: Collaborative space to contribute to fill the gender gap in Wikipedia, promoted by a group of catalan wikipedians and Wikimujeres. Come any tuesday along the year and take action! @ViquidonesUPF
