The CMBBE Symposium originated in 1991 in the Engineering Faculty at Swansea University, Wales, UK, a world leader in computational mechanics and it was organised by prof. John Middleton and his team. 

The 2025 CMBBE Symposium will take place at UPF Engineering Campus on September 3rd - 5th 2025. This edition is chaired by Jérôme Noailly, with the cooperation of researchers at Barcelona MedTech at UPF Engineering, Barcelona Supercomputing Center - CNS, CIMNE and UPC.
