HDR has quickly become a focus for professionals across broadcast, production, post and proAV, as they look to improve the audience viewing experience across TV, digital film, streaming and live event venues. However, HDR content production and delivery are one of the most common issues within the Industry due to the demanding standards required by the major streaming services and studios. Nevertheless, there are specific tools and solutions in the market that can help optimize HDR workflows. Join SGO, AJA, Canon and DTIC-UPF  in a professional event “Creating the HDR Experience” and learn how to overcome some of the challenges in HDR workflow.

It will include a demonstration of technologies developed by DTIC-UPF. Based on recent discoveries and models from vision science, the Image Processing for enhanced Cinematography lab (IP4EC) of UPF has produced algorithms for effective tone mapping, inverse tone mapping, and gamut mapping for production, post-production, and exhibition. These advanced methods will be presented by UPF to demonstrate how academic research can bring fully automated solutions for important challenges for the cinema industry that are currently solved manually or sub-optimally.

Creating the HDR Experience” will take place at Pompeu Fabra University’s Aranyo Conference Hall (Sala Aranyó) in Barcelona on Tuesday 21st May at 4:00 pm. Places for this event are limited, so secure your spot now.
