Emilia Gómez leads a node of the European Observatory for AI

The observatory is "an initiative from the European Comission to monitor the progress of Artificial Intelligence and research which are the challenge that society will face, such as ethical, legal, economic or social" Emilia Gómez explains.

Emilia Gómez is I the Lead Scientist of the HUMAINT project at the Centre for Advanced Studies, Joint Research Centre, European Commission and leads the MIR (Music Information Research) lab of the Music Technology Group (MTG) at DTIC-UPF. The HUMAINT project is driving strong collaborations with the department, including Bart Bijnens, Carlos Castillo, Ana Freire and Davinia Hernández Leo, as well as with the general María de Maeztu Strategic program, contributing to a stronger inclusion of the consideration of social impact factors in ICT research to guarantee and increase a positive impact of our research in society.
