Valuable exchanges at FMX
Last month's FMX not only gave the MAX-R consortium a platform to present the project's onitiatives to the wider industry, but also a valuable opportunity to meet and exchange insights that will further strengthen the development of MAX-R tools and pipeline.
As well as the presentation delivered by Dr Johannes Steurer (ARRI) and Sara Coppola-Nicholson (disguise), colleagues from ARRI were pleased to meet with consortium partners FilmLight, Filmakademie Baden-Wüttenberg, and Foundry to discuss topics including the interoperability betwee
n FilmLight's Unreal Engine integrated grading system and ARRI's color calibration workflows, enabling creatives to apply their known workflows from postproduction in a virtual production environment. The material-based color correction from FilmLight, combined with ARRI's calibration workflow is another step towards an optimal environment for creatives working with in-camera VFX (ICVFX).
