Tutorial System

Tutorial sessions with the director of the program

There are two tutorial meetings with the director of the program during the academic year.

The first meeting is a general session by mid-September, before the enrolment, addressed to all new students. Its main purpose is to meet the director of the program, who will talk about the contents of the courses, its features, and will help students to choose their optional courses.

The second meeting with the coordinator will be beetwen January and February. The main topic of this meeting will be the Final Master Thesis.

Whatever your problems or concerns during the academic year, the director will always be ready to talk things through with you.

Regular class tutorials

For all master courses, supervisions provide an excellent opportunity to get feedback on your written and non-written work. Each professor will inform about office hours and how to arrange a tutorial meeting. You are strongly encouraged to ask for, prepare and use tutorials in the most beneficial and efficient way possible for your own academic development.

If you find that you cannot attend a supervision which has been arranged, or if you know that you will be late, then you should inform your supervisor of this as early as possible.

Final Research Paper tutorials

Each student will have a supervisor for the final research paper. This tutor will guide the student when formulating the topic of the paper, the hypothesis or research question, choosing the methodology and, if it's necessary, with the research of resources, and will advise the student during the research period and the writing phase. The student will be responsible of the contents of the final research paper, and must take into account the Department's plagiarism rules. The supervisor and the student will agree a tutorial calendar, and the meetings can, in certain cases, be held by e-mail, phone, etc. If there are problems, both the student and the supervisor can address the director of the master.
