Marisa Iglesias Vila is Associate Professor of Legal Philosophy at Pompeu Fabra University, Barcelona. She has been a visiting scholar or researcher at the European Humanities University of Minsk, Oxford University, the Global Law School of New York University, the Law Faculty of Puerto Rico University, the ITAM (México) and the UAO (Colombia). She has worked several times as expert-evaluator for the European Commission, and has briefly practiced law as substitute judge. She is also a current member of the Executive Committee of the International Association for Philosophy of Law and Social Philosophy (IVR), and coordinator of the Law PHD program at Universitat Pompeu Fabra.

Current research interests: the philosophy of human rights; legitimacy issues and principles in international human rights adjudication; freedom of religion; multiculturalism and gender equality.
