PRATS, ELENA

Elena Prats is a Ph.D. candidate in Philosophy of Law at the Philosophy Department of the Uppsala University in a cotutelle with the Law Faculty of the Pompeu Fabra University (UPF). Her research interests lie in the fields of legal theory, bioethics, and citizenship policies. She is currently researching on the assessment of the legitimacy of citizenship-by-investment programmes (CIPs), focusing on CIPs in the EU.

Prats has extensive international academic experience: up today she has been studying, researching or teaching at universities of seven different countries: Spain (University of Barcelona; Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB); UPF; Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC); Universidad Nacional Educación a Distancia (UNED); Universidad de la Laguna; Universidad de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (ULPGC)), Germany (Universität Bremen; Max Planck Institute, Visiting Scholar), U.K. (Glasgow University), Japan (桃山学院大学; 早稲田大学;日本大学; 上智大学), Finland (Åbo Akademi University), Italy (Tarello Institute at the University of Genoa, Visiting Scholar), and Sweden (Uppsala University).
