The Johns Hopkins University - Pompeu Fabra University Public Policy Center continues to build upon the long-standing collaboration between the Johns Hopkins University, the Bloomberg School of Public Health, and the Pompeu Fabra University, one of the leading academic centers in Europe.
Founded in the spring of 2013, the Center provides an international reference point for faculty and students to participate in the academic activities of both institutions at the graduate level, with a primary focus on public and social policy areas. Composed of programs offered by the two institutions, the Center's objective is to conduct research and teaching in major areas of impact on the social well-being, quality of life, and health of populations, with special emphasis on North America and Europe. These areas include: worldwide climate change, economic and financial crises, and the economic and financial integration of the European Union.
The Center is co-directed by the Department of Health Policy and Management at the Bloomberg School and the Department of Political and Social Science at Pompeu Fabra University and resides on the main Pompeu Fabra campus in Barcelona, Spain.
