MARCOS PEREZ ,BEATRIU RAQUEL
Beatriu Marcos (Madrid, 1979) is currently ‘Margarita Salas’ Postdoctoral Researcher at Humanities Department of Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF, Barcelona). She has been Associate Professor of Philosophy at Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM-I, Ciudad de México). She received a PhD in Moral and Political Philosophy (Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana). Her doctoral dissertation was awarded by the Philosophical Association of Mexico as the best national thesis of philosophy in Mexico in 2018. She holds a MA Master in Philosophy - Theory and Critique of Culture (Universidad Carlos III, Madrid). She also obtained the European Diploma of Advanced Studies and a MA Master of Research in Spanish Literature (Universidad Complutense, Madrid).
She has researched on issues such as: Republicanism; Early Modern Iberian and Latin American Political Thought; Intellectual History; Politics and Theology; Theories of inclusion, justice and recognition; Converso Theology; Scholasticism; Medieval & Renaissance Studies; Theories of power; Feminism; Technology and new subjectivities; Memory and experiences of collective harm; Decoloniality and subalternity; or Artistic practices and political action. She has several academic publications (that appeared in, amongst others, Res Publica, Revista de Historia de las Ideas Políticas, UAM or Siglo XXI Editores) and she has participated in numerous academic events. Likewise, she has been part of various literary and artistic projects, and worked for years as a cultural manager and technical advisor for international organizations in the fields of international cooperation and Cultural Rights.
