ORTEGA MONTERO, OSCAR
Óscar Ortega Montero is a Junior Lecturer in Postcolonial and Contemporary Literatures and Cultures in English. He is currently completing his Ph.D. dissertation, which focuses on the study of a/biographical accounts of people living with HIV/AIDS in post-apartheid South Africa. Óscar is member of the UAB-based research group Ratnakara, a research group devoted to the study of Indian Ocean cultures and literatures, and of the UB-based Centre for Transnational and Australian Studies. His research interests also include Energy Humanities, Postcolonial theory, (Documentary) Film and Identity Studies. Óscar has participated in several international conferences and has been awarded grants to teach as a visiting lecturer in the United States (CIEE-UB) and Hungary (ERASMUS+).
