MARIA RODÓ i s graduated in Political Sciences (Autonomous University of Barcelona), Master in Women, Gender and Citizenship Studies (University of Barcelona) and PhD in Geography (Autonomous University of Barcelona). She is currently a Juan de la Cierva postdoctoral researcher of the Gender and ICT research group at the Internet Interdisciplinary Institute (Universitat Oberta de Catalunya). Her main research fields are feminist geographies, geographies of sexualities and of youth, with a special focus on intersectionality theory and the development of new methodologies for working on it such as the Relief Maps. In 2012 she received the Gender, Place and Culture Award for New and Emerging Scholars by G ender, Place and Culture: A Journal of Feminist Geography . She has been a visiting research fellow at the Graduate Center of the City University of New York (United States), Universidade Estadual de Ponta Grossa (Brasil) and University College Dublin (Ireland).
