PRESENT: second quarterly meeting at Framestore headquarters
The UPF-GTI group presented in the second PRESENT quarterly meeting a use case for the technology they are currently developing.
On March 6, the second PRESENT quarterly meeting was held at the Framestore headquarters in London.
The UPF-GTI group presented a use case for the technology they are currently developing: a holographic virtual clerk.
A new rendering pipeline with shaders for facial rendering, created using their own web editor (WebGLStudio) was showcased at the meeting. The next figure shows an example of the low-end implementation of real-time of transmittance and subsurface scattering.
Other topics, such as motion capture systems and user detection using open-source software, were also discussed during the meeting.
As long as it is not possible to meet face-to-face, we will keep in touch online and we will continue to advance in the development of the UPF-GTI’s Virtual Clerk.
