GTI has a new paper accepted at IEEE Transactions on Visualization and Computer Graphics
GTI has a new accepted publication (link) at IEEE TVCG "Extensible Spherical Fibonacci Grids". It is a joint work of Ricardo Marques (GTI-UPF), Christian Bouville, Kadi Bouatouch (IRISA) and Josep Blat (GTI-UPF).

In this paper we make a theoretical analysis of spherical Fibonacci grids, which explains why these point sets outperform all other point sets in spherical quasi-Monte Carlo integration. Based on this analysis, we propose the extensible spherical Fibonacci grids, i.e., we enable adding new points to an existing spherical Fibonacci point set while keeping the good point set properties.
