We welcome our new Visiting Researcher Evrim Çinar from Yeditepe University, Turkey

Evrim Çinar is a Ph.D. candidate at Yeditepe University in Istanbul, at the Political Science and International Relations in Social Science Faculty. 


He received his first undergraduate degree at Michigan State University in Political Science. His second undergraduate is in European Union Relations degree at Bahçeşehir University in Istanbul. Evrim has a Master's degree from UPF (Master in Immigration Management, the former title of the current Master in migration studies programme) with the master thesis title “Readmission Agreement of Turkey and its effect on the State Security and Migrant Security Balance”.

Evrim’s Ph.D. thesis is focused on the comparison of migration policies between Turkey and Spain at the core of public accountability, where he analyzes the multi-diagonal governance units’, NGOs, and citizens’ involvement in the decision-making process on migration policies. The influence of democratic governance on pro-migrant policies is taken into consideration in his Ph.D. Project.
