Mina Prokic successfully defended her Doctoral Thesis and was graded excellent. More info.

On April 28th GRITIM-UPF had an internal meeting to discuss the nexus between COVID-19 and migration, and agreed to produce a collective roadmap of main policy research and social avenues. More info.

We welcome our new Ph.D. Candidate Mohsen Manouchehri and Associate Researcher Robert Templer at GRITIM-UPF.

The 42nd Number of the GRITIM-UPF Working Paper Series "Qualitative Migration Research Ethics: Mapping the Core Challenges" by R. Zapata-Barrero and E. Yalaz was on the UPF News. More info.

 

EuroMedMig Updates: (presented in chronological order)

The recorded GRITIM-UPF Research Webinar in collaboration with the European Institute of the Mediterranean (IEMed) entitled “The Impact of Refugees on Urban Planning in Local Palestinian Communities” by Abdelrahman Tamimi (EuroMedMig Steering Committee member and Managing Director of the Palestinian Hydrology Group for Water and Environmental Resources Development, Ramallah, The Palestinian Authority) moderated by Ricard Zapata-Barrero (EuroMedMig Coordinator and GRITIM-UPF Director, Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain) which took place on May 7th 2020 is now available. The recorded GRITIM-UPF Research Webinar in collaboration with the Institut Barcelona d'Estudis Internacionals (IBEI) entitled “City Networks and Migration Governance” by Thomas Lacroix (CNRS Research Fellow in Geography, University of Poitiers, France) moderated by Charles Roger (Assistant Professor and Beatriu de Pinós Research Fellow at IBEI, Catalonia, Spain) which took place on April 20th 2020 is now available. More info.

These two Webinars are also part of EuroMedMig´s activities within a three-year (2019-2022) Erasmus+ Jean Monnet Network Program (Ref. 611260-EPP-1-2019-1-ES-EPPJMO-NETWORK) entitled “Mapping European Mediterranean Migration Studies” (Acronym: #EUMedMi).
