Ricard Zapata-Barrero will be a Visiting Scholar at Swinburne University of Technology in Australia in July and will participate in the "Intercultural Cities in Swinburne" event.
Ricard Zapata-Barrero will be a Visiting Scholar at Swinburne University of Technology in Australia for a period of two weeks in the month of July, during which he will visit some Australian cities that are interested in incorporating the intercultural paradigm into their policy agenda.
Furthermore, as part of the "Intercultural Cities in Swinburne" event at the university, Ricard Zapata-Barrero will conduct a public lecture under the title "Interculturalism in Cities: Concept, Policy and implementation" on July 16th. He will also participate in a roundtable on that day to discuss about the way forward for Australian multiculturalism. This event will include the launch of his latest book Intercultural Citizenship in the Post-Multicultural Era published by SAGE Swifts 2019.
He will also give a lecture on "Intercultural citizenship and the quest for justice in cities" together with Fethi Mansouri on July 18th.
This event will explore and analyze the Intercultural Cities movement around the world and its potential in Australia.
