Call for applications: University of Geneva is seeking to appoint a post-doctoral researcher to work on a project funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) titled “Is the Integration of Muslim Migrants More Difficult? Unpacking the Differences of the Social, Economic, Civic and Political Integration of Muslim and Non-Muslim Migrants in Switzerland in Comparative Perspective.” Deadline for applications: 16 February 2018. Call for abstracts: The Essex Centre for Migration Studies, UEA Migration Research Network, and the Sussex Centre for Migration Research invite PhD Research students to submit papers for the Colloquium Conceptual and Methodological Issues in Migration Research. Deadline for abstracts submissions: 21 February 2018. More info.

Call for papers: Special Issue «Arts and Refugees: Multidisciplinary Perspectives». Guest Editor: Dr. Marco Martiniello. The issue examines the relevance of artistic practices in current debates about the integration of de facto refugees in Europe and also in the actual integration of refugee artists in the social fabric and in the artistic scene. Deadline for manuscript submissions: 15 October 2018. More info.

Suggested event:

The cycle of cinematographic projections (Tarde de Cine - Una mirada crítica sobre la realidad) of the Department of Political and Social Sciences at UPF will start on February 7th, at 15:30, with the movie "La Haine" by Mathieu Kassovitz.
