Martino Reviglio is a second year Ph.D. candidate in International Migration Law at the Università degli Studi di Torino, under the supervision of Prof. Ugo Mattei. He holds a B.A. in European Studies (Maastricht University), a M.A. in History (Utrecht University) and M.Sc. in Comparative Law, Economics and Finance (International University College of Turin). Moreover, Martino has worked as an intern at the European Parliament, and as a consultant at the Department of European Affairs of the Council of Ministers of Italy.

His research focuses on migration management policies in the Central Southern Mediterranean Sea. Martino’s PhD thesis is entitled ‘The Central Mediterranean Sea between Exclusion and Inclusion: Borders, Territory and Human Rights’. His first publication ‘Externalizing Migration Management through Soft Law: The Case of the Memorandum of Understanding between Libya and Italy’ is forthcoming in Global Jurist.
