Damian Andres Canton Gardes is Director of the “Democracy and Multicultural Citizenship in Argentina” Project at Universidad Siglo 21, Cordoba, Argentina. He has an undergraduate degree in Social Work (Universidad de Buenos Aires, Argentina), Master´s degree in Social Ethics and Human Development (Universidad Alberto Hurtado, Chile) and a Ph.D. in Social and Political Sciences (Université Catholique de Louvain, Belgium).

He is Professor of Ethics, Sociology, Anthropology and Economics at Universidad Siglo 21 in Argentina, and participated as a key speaker in different Forums in Argentina, Chile, Peru, Colombia, Venezuela, Panama, Panama, El Salvador, France and Belgium.

His research focuses on the inclusion of minority populations like indigenous people and migrants into public spaces and the evolving meanings of citizenship in Argentina and Latin America.
